Our mission at the Duncairn is to engage with the wider community, to enhance the provision of and participation in the arts through an innovative and diverse arts programme.
We want everyone coming through the door to feel welcomed and to have a good time, no matter the activity they are partaking.
Whatever we organise we have our local community in mind. We want to make a difference and make people proud of North Belfast. To make sure we are on the right track, though, we need your help! We want you to tell us what is working well and what can be improved.
We want you to tell us your story, your journey to the Duncairn, because your story is our story, your journey is our journey.
Throughout the year we will be developing a variety of creative ways to give you the chance to share your thoughts with us, to make your voice be heard.
Some of you already have filled in a survey at a couple of events here. We asked you what the Duncairn means to you and with your own words made a word cloud. We love that “community” came up a lot in you answers. We actually love all the words you used to describe us, even the tiny ones.
If you haven’t done the survey yet you can do it online, the link is below. We promise it won’t take long and you might win 2 tickets for a concert here at the Duncairn. You can do it on your phone too.
But our plans to give you voice are larger than a survey, which is only the first step of our Impact Measurement plan. We are working in collaboration with artists and creatives to find innovative and creative ways to engage with you.
