Complete beginner? Maybe thinking of returning to art after a few years away? Or maybe you are one of those people we hear saying  “who, me, no I’m not creative”…well come on and jump in, prepare to get your hands messy, give it a go because this 6-week printmaking course is suitable for all, open to all and a great way to see that, yeah, you do have a creative streak!

Led by printmaker Sheenagh Bleakney, this course is suitable for all levels; no experience is necessary at all, and you will learn so much.

Over 6 weeks you will learn several intaglio and relief printmaking techniques, including drypoint, tetrapak and mono-printing using painterly, drawing and collage methods.  You will learn to operate a printing press, prepare a ‘plate’, ink up a ‘plate’ and all about the ins and outs of printmaking.  You will be using coloured inks on both paper and fabric, and you will develop your skills and create a varied range of original prints using imagery of your choice.
