Multi- instrumentalist Myles McCormack has become a regular at The Duncairn, so we’re delighted he chose us for his album launch. You may know him from hosting the trad sessions in Belfast’s Sunflower Public House, or as the brainchild behind anarcho-trad progressives Lonesome George. However, in this solo venture he deviates from the traditional and veers toward his more progressive roots. While his songs use subtle metaphor to explore issues such as climate change, mental health, corruption and relationships, they are buoyed by finger picked guitar, harmonium, delicate vocals, heavy bodhrán grooves and some experimental analogue electronics. Also, watch out for those harmonies from indie Irish folk outfit Taobh Eile who’ll be opening on the night.
