Forage ‘n’ Sketch…En plein air!

Saturday 2nd September

Time: 11am

Meeting point: Belfast Castle

Charge: £25 per session

Take a leisurely walk on the Cavehill with artist Eimear Maguire, and together be inspired by the season and the Belfast hills at their best, bursting with life and colour.

Eimear will talk you through some of the gorgeous natural habitat, trees, birds, plants, and edibles that can be found right on our own doorstep.

Breathe in the colours, tones and textures all found in nature, before finding a nice little spot to settle with a sketchbook where you will be guided through using tones and colour to record your surroundings.

You will create a series of nature studies that you can use as reference for future work or as a handy little notebook to bring you right back to nature when you need it.

PLEAST NOTE: there will be steps taken up to the Echo, a quiet area for sketching. Suitable clothing should be worn, and you should bring a blanket/folding chair to use while seated.
