The earliest known examples of Mosaics made of different materials were found in Abra, Mesopotamia and were dated to the second half of 3rd millennium BC, consisting of pieces of colored stones, shells, and ivory.
This four-week course is a ‘taste of mosaic’ and suitable for people who are complete beginners keen to explore the vibrant and cosmopolitan world of mosaic making.
Participants will create two artworks to hang in your home, using both traditional glass tiles and recycled crockery – feel free to bring your own! Each artwork you create will be totally unique to you.
