Brían and Diarmuid are returning, bringing with them Ye Vagabonds’ spellbinding album, The Hare’s Lament, a collection of traditional songs learned from some of the greats of Irish music. From precious archive recordings of a grandfather they never met; from the unique collection of singer Róise na nAmhrán from Arranmore Island in Donegal (their mother’s birthplace) and from contemporaries in the singing communities around Dublin. It’s a record that might remind listeners of the harmonies and musicianship of Planxty, while musically the brothers are significant players in the current, innovative Irish folk scene, alongside the likes of Lisa O’Neill and Lankum. On the night Ye Vagabonds will be joined by very special guests, you really don’t want to miss this.
