Club FIFTY : Athbheochan Úr

The return of the famous FIFTY : Arts & Activism Social hosted by Lynette Fay & Conor Caldwell. The subject for this night is;

  • Are we in the midst of a new Gaelic revival in terms of arts, sport, music and culture?

  • An bhfuil muid i measc athbheochan eile na Gaeilge ó thaobh na healaíne, an spóirt, an cheoil, agus an chultúir de?

Is Irish creativity experiencing a renaissance? With a global surge of interest in learning the Irish language, bands like Lankum, The Mary Wallopers, and Kneecap headlining major festivals, and films such as An Cailín Ciúin and The Banshees of Inisherin receiving international recognition, it seems there’s a growing appreciation for the rich culture, art, music, and language of Ireland. The GAA is also gaining recognition as an inclusive and accessible sport, further contributing to this cultural revival.

Join long-time friends of the Duncairn, Lynette Fay and Conor Caldwell, as they curate an evening filled with music, discussion, poetry, and craic. The audience will be strictly limited to 50 people; complimentary wine and Irish tapas will be provided. This event is open to all, while the discussion will mainly be in English with a small bit of Gaeilge, everyone is welcome.
