Written and directed by Patricia Downey, CUSS THE WORLD follows five teenagers whose lives are growing increasingly out of control. Meet Jane, whose brother Peter is doing time for drug-dealing and death driving; then there’s David and Douglas constantly trying to avoid their violent father. Next is Amy who may be following in her pregnant sister’s footsteps. Finally, Anne, whose current hobbies include getting drunk and selling prescription drugs. Along the way we also meet mothers who share their thoughts about bringing up troubled teenagers.
CUSS THE WORLD will resonate with anyone trying to understand or come to terms with the realities of serious issues facing this generation’s young people, and with anyone who no longer doubts that drugs are an issue that cut across class, gender, age, rural and urban communities.
To book your seat please email debbie@174trust.org or contact our booking office on reception@174trust.org - community and youth groups bookings very welcome.
There will also be a superb group of musicians from the Club including current and past tutors, led by harpers Eilis Lavelle and Emer Mallon, along with sister and brother Méabh and Tiarnán Smyth.
